History of the airport in Chisinau<\/h2>\n

The main “air gate” of Moldova is the international airport of Chisinau, the capital and largest city of the country. Every year, more than 2 million people arrive on the territory of the state. Moldova is a country where ancient fortresses and monasteries have been preserved, vast fields, reserves, and vineyards are spread out.<\/p>\n

The first flight from Chisinau to Bucharest took place in 1927 – from this moment the history of the airport began. In 2010, specialists reconstructed and modernized the airport complex. Thanks to this, the Chisinau international airport received the title of the best in the CIS. The airport complex includes one terminal in a two-story building – this is where international and national flights arrive.<\/p>\n

The airport is equipped with comfortable recreation areas with free Wi-Fi access. There is a duty-free zone, flower shops, chocolate shops, magazines and newspapers. There are car rental desks. There is a first-aid post and a storage room.<\/p>\n

You can get to the city center from the airport by bus or minibus. They are easy to find – in the parking lot next to the exit from the terminal. Transport goes both to the capital and to other cities of Moldova. The only disadvantage is that they only run during the day.<\/p>\n

For tourists arriving at night, there are official taxi services. Cars can be found in the same parking lot. Trips are paid at a fixed rate, which is advantageous.<\/p>\n

Car Parking at Chisinau International Airport<\/h3>\n

For travelers and guests of Chisinau, there is a convenient four-level car park located opposite the international airport. A reliable and high-tech equipped parking lot, capable of accommodating up to 799 cars, is at the disposal of motorists 24 hours a day. On the lower levels – the first, second and third – visitors can find a 571-space indoor parking lot, and on the upper fourth level there are another 228 open spaces for vehicles. For easier orientation, each level has a corresponding number. There is also an information board, on the screen of which the current number of available parking spaces is displayed in real time.<\/p>\n
